Amy, originally from Philadelphia, is a Brooklyn-based designer of environments for theatre, opera, dance and live events. Her work explores the relationship between emotion and space.  Her designs often create intimate experiences through the manipulation of space and how an event/story flows. Amy is currently collaborating with Sidra Bell Dance New York on Monster Outside, premiering at the Contemporary Arts Center New Orleans in November. Recent: Aging Magician (New Victory Theater); All the Fine Boys (The New Group); Miles for Mary (TheMadOnes); Quiet, Comfort (Hoi Polloi); Ike at Night (The Public’s Under the Radar Festival); The Wholehearted (Stein/Holum Projects); The Rape of Lucretia / A Rake’s Progress / L'elisir d'amore  (CurtisOpera); War Lesbian (HarunaLee); Animal Animal Mammal Mine (Dir. Anisa George); Amy creates interactive events for Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central and Spike TV. Her design work has been at TED Conferences in 2016, The Public, The Park Ave Armory, Baryshnikov Arts Center, Walker Arts Center, MASSMoCA, La Jolla Playhouse, Bushwick Starr, HERE Arts, Cherry Lane, 59East59, Juilliard, 3LD, NYU, Dixon Place, Bard, Fordham. Received her MFA from NYU.
